The Daxton Hotel
This new gold plated mechanical horse sculpture was commissioned by the Daxton Hotel, in Birmingham, MI. It was completed in August 2020 at the Reno Generator, NV, and installed at the hotel in January 2021. It is a great honor for it to be the centerpiece of the lobby, visible through the window from the street.

Where it all began...
Almost two years in the making, the original Mechanical Horse was single-handedly designed, machined and sculpted by Adrian Landon, at home and in his metal shop in Brooklyn, NY. Over 100 ball bearings, custom laser-cut sprockets, 30 feet of chain, 23 articulating joints and one small electric motor, this was the beginning of a whole new body of work, combining his in-depth knowledge and passion for horses, his childhood mechanical experience with Legos, and most of all, his love for creation.
